30/12/2008 Tue.
Finishing washing faces and brushing teeth,
we set off at around 8 o’clock.
There was a tour in the beer factory this morning.
We had breakfast at Subway nearby,
and then walked around, waiting for the report time, which was 9:50.
Coming to the reception, a man took the ticket from my hand.
“Sorry, I just found that we’d got tickets for adults, but we are students. I don’t know if it’s possible to get it right and get refunds.” I asked.
“Oh! You are all 18, right? You look 12!”
(Oh… am I = =? Anyway…)
The tour was all in English (of course…).
From the barriers to beer, including its history, he gave us a very detailed introduction.
After the tour, the guider led us to a room where we could drink as much as we want.
To be honest, I’m not a person who is keen on History and so on.
However, I sometimes feel it’s nice to know more about what I’m drinking, eating or using.
You’d discover that the beer tastes better because of the fascinating history of it!
We walked around the city, trying to find a place to have lunch.
Finally we decided to eat Japanese food.
Much to my surprise, another group of people was eating in the restaurant.
They were Yabe, Sally, Eason and so on!
What a coincidence!
Eason and the other 5 people had been travelling around the south island.
Yabe and Sally knew that, so they drove down to Dunedin on Monday to meet them.
After lunch, we strolled to the visitor centre in Dunedin.
The second tour was the Larnach Castle.
The bus set off at 3 o’clock.
On our way to the castle, the driver, whose job was also a guider, kept talking, introducing to us the scenery out of our bus.
Oh! I love the scenery in NZ!
It’s nothing but fascinating.
Sooooo nice~
Lastly, we arrived at the castle.
I was a bit disappointed because it was different from what I imagined.
But it was luxury anyway.
The weather was nice… too nice…
It was quite hot.
The driver came and showed us around the castle.
I felt it a kind of villa instead of the castle…
After the tour was 30-minute free time.
I walked upstairs and got to the top.
Looking around on the top of the castle, the landscape was so breathtaking!
On the way back to Dunedin,
I slept for a few minutes.><
Started to feel tired…
For dinner, we went to the Countdown nearby.
We bought noodles, biscuits and snacks.
Very simple~
Not until 2:30 did we go to bed.
We had a long chat in the dining room.
Talk about everything.
This is the second day of our trip.
